Awards Committee Overview

The Awards Committee of the MOA annually presents awards to individuals who have made significant contributions to:

1. the MOA,
2. the profession of optometry, and/or
3. the visual welfare of the public.

The awards are presented at the annual business convention of the association.

The awards are:

1. Optometrist of the Year
2. Young Optometrist of the Year
3. Keyperson Award

Nominations must be made by individual members, local societies, or districts of the MOA.

All nominations must be in writing [preferably typed].

Hard copy and/or electronic copy nominations in Microsoft Word format will be accepted.

Nominations that do not satisfactorily document the nominee’s contributions will not receive favorable consideration by the committee.
