WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT MOAPAC?

Because you owe it to yourself and to your fellow ODs.

Every year is an important year for all of optometry! This is why your participation in funding MOAPAC is so critical to your future:

• Our opposition is organized and dedicated to reverse our scope of practice gains.
• Your ability to deliver quality care and earn a commensurate income is always in jeopardy, because our scope of practice privileges can easily be lost in the legislature.
• It takes money to earn the attention of legislators, and we need them to hear our message.
• Our best hope for protecting our future is strength in numbers, creating a strong MOAPAC.
• You need to step up and join those who are now carrying your part of the load.
• We must develop and maintain strong relationships with our Michigan legislators – a task that is made much more difficult by term limits and the resulting legislative turnover.
• IF WE LET THESE RELATIONSHIPS SLIP AWAY TO THE OPPOSITION, WE MAY LOSE OUR HARD-EARNED PRACTICE PRIVILEGES!
