MFVA Scholarship applicants must be a resident of Michigan and plan to practice in Michigan, be a third year student in a college of optometry, have a “B” average or better in professional school, and be in need of financial assistance to complete their education.
Scholarship applications should be submitted to MFVA’s Scholarship Trustee Scott Cunningham before the May 1 annual deadline. A reference letter from a professor at your college of optometry and an academic transcript must also arrive prior to the May 1 deadline in order for the application to be reviewed. It is your responsibility to follow up with your reference to make sure all needed paperwork is submitted on time.
