Optometry Student Recruiting Drive
For optometry to remain strong we need to help recruit the best possible students to our optometry schools. With rapidly declining enrollment, ultimately the profession itself will be at stake.
We need to act NOW to recruit future members of our profession!
The MOA board is asking each of our members to get actively involved in recruiting new students. Please take the initiative to talk to promising high school and college students about our beloved profession. Use the recruiting materials from the Colleges of Optometry to educate your prospects (you can find the Michigan College of Optometry at www.ferris.edu/mco/admissions/admiss.htm.)
You may also find information about the “Each One – Reach One” campaign from the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry at http://www.opted.org. There you can order resources to aid in your recruitment efforts.
