The MOA offers two options for online training, both state of Michigan requirements: Human Trafficking and Controlled Substance Awareness.

Human Trafficking: What Michigan Optometrists Need to Know (60745-PB)

This course meets the state of Michigan requirement R338.303 effective December 21, 2016 that requires training for healthcare providers on recognizing the signs of human trafficking.

Controlled Substance Awareness Training
presented by: Susan DeVuyst-Miller, B.S., PharmD, AE-C

Beginning September 1, 2019, individuals seeking a controlled substance license or who is licensed to prescribe or dispense controlled substances must have completed a 1-time training in opioids
 and controlled substances awareness that meets the standards established in Administrative Rule 338.3135 prior to being issued a license.

Beginning with the 2021 renewal cycles, and all renewal cycles thereafter, controlled substance licensees must have completed prior to renewal a 1-time training in opioids
 and controlled substances awareness that meets the standards established.
